SECOND COVER IMAGE FEATURING RUBY

Ruby - KHS Spokespet

I was so excited to receive this in the mail today - the Fall 2019 edition of the Paw Street Journal featuring a cover image I took of the sweet Ruby over the summer.  The images I captured of Ruby are being used as the fall/winter campaign for the Kentucky Humane Society.

Ruby was found at 6 weeks old with two broken front legs in the fire pit at a BBQ restaurant in Southern Kentucky.  I kind couple found her and brought her to Louisville and the Kentucky Humane Society where she was cared for.  I met her after she was cleaned up and her legs were set in 2 hot pink casts (which clearly matched her bubbly personality.)

Despite her experience and injuries, she was a loving, playful and happy puppy who would not let her casts slow her down.  Since our photo session Ruby's casts have come off, her legs have healed and she was adopted by a loving family.

More information about Ruby and the Kentucky Humane Society's like saving efforts can be found here.
