NEW MODELS NECESSITATE A NEW GETTY CHALLENGE IMAGE

The crazy times we are living in got even more crazy last week with the addition of 2 absolutely adorable foster puppies from the Kentucky Humane Society to our home.   With the shelter closed due to efforts to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, majority of the animals in their care have been placed in foster care.  Nala and Ariel were quickly out growing their previous foster home so we opened our home to them.  Who could possibly say, "No" to those faces?

Once the puppies arrived they quickly learned the price of being part of the Schoenegge Pack during a quarantine - modeling for an Inspired by Image as part of the #GettyChallenge.  The good news is modeling usually involves a bunch of treats.

For the puppies, I chose to recreate the famous cherub detail from Rafael's Sistine Madonna (click here to see original painting).   The angels at the bottom of the painting that appear to be leaning against the top of the altar and have become famous pop culture icons in their own right over the centuries.

Since the first time I saw the paining, I found the whimsical cherubs to add a bit of cheeky humanity to the biblical subject that set Rafael's Madonna & Chid painting apart from the countless others that have been created through time and  left a smile on my face.  I hope my Inspired By image leaves you with a smile on your face as well.
